Working principle
ABEK-grade activated carbon is a chemically impregnated adsorbent specifically designed to protect against a broad spectrum of toxic gases and vapors. It operates through a combination of physical adsorption and chemisorption. The porous carbon matrix physically traps large organic molecules, while specialized impregnants—copper, zinc, molybdenum, and silver compounds—catalyze or neutralize specific hazardous substances. The "ABEK" designation indicates protection against: A-type (organic vapors, boiling point >65°C), B-type (inorganic gases like Cl₂, H₂S), E-type (acidic gases like SO₂), and K-type (ammonia and amines), ensuring comprehensive multi-gas defense.
