Working principle
This product is manufactured from coconut shells through carbonization and steam activation, creating an exceptional microporous structure (>90% micropores <2 nm) with surface areas of 1100–1200 m²/g and iodine values exceeding 1100 mg/g. The fine powder particles (<75 µm, 200 mesh) provide enormous external surface area, enabling extremely rapid adsorption kinetics. When dosed into aqueous streams, contaminant molecules are physically adsorbed via van der Waals forces within the extensive micropore network. The highly uniform pore size, matching the molecular dimensions of small organics (e.g., chlorine, VOCs, pesticide residues, and gold cyanide complexes), ensures maximum adsorption efficiency with rapid equilibrium achieved within minutes.
