Working principle
Coconut shell columnar activated carbon features a highly developed microporous structure (pores <2 nm) formed during physical or chemical activation. Its vast internal surface area (typically 1000–1200 m²/g) adsorbs contaminants through physical van der Waals forces, trapping small molecules such as VOCs, residual chlorine, organic compounds, and gold cyanide complexes. The cylindrical shape ensures uniform packing and consistent flow distribution in fixed-bed columns.
